British superstar Tom Odell meets Enleo in Poland

Ukrainian singer Nikita Leontyev, known as Enleo, has realized his dream. He met the world-famous British musician Tom Odell, who changed Nikita’s life 180 degrees a year ago. He gave him the opportunity to perform the song “Another love”. The Ukrainian version of the song is called “інша любов” and has become an iconic song for all Ukrainians in difficult times and one of the most listened to songs. Enleo posted a video of the meeting on his Instagram.

The meeting was held in the Polish city of Lodz, where the “Łódź Summer Festival na 600” took place from July 28 to 30. This cultural event was dedicated to the 600th anniversary of one of the most beautiful cities in Poland. The festival organizers invited Enleo to attend the event. Tom Odell was the headliner of the festival.  

Enleo’s team met with the city’s vice mayor Adam Pustelnik and made a cultural gift to Lodz – a painting by Ukrainian artists Ivan Voloshyn and Sviatoslav Petryk called Wings of Trust.

The artists had a friendly dialog. Nikita thanked Tom personally for his support and said that he became famous in Ukraine after performing his cover of “інша любов”.

Tom Odell, in turn, said warm words: “I remember when I saw your version of the song, it really resonated with me. The song is very powerful. Thank you for taking the time to do it. It was very beautiful, and it’s an honor to know you. You send my love to Ukrainians and I feel it. Thank you for that, it’s wonderful! I will never forget this.”

Enleo presented Tom Odell with a significant gift – a wooden box engraved with the song titles in two languages. The box contained a crystal from the chandelier of the Mariupol Drama Theater. This gift is very symbolic. Nikita is from Mariupol and for a long time he played as a street musician near the drama theater. 

Nikita addressed Tom with sincere words: “This crystal is from the chandelier of the Mariupol Drama Theater, which was destroyed by the Russian military. I have it as a small reminder of my home. And I want to give it to you to thank you on behalf of all Ukrainians for your song, for your help to people. This is a small piece of my home and it is a great honor that you will keep it in your home. And remember that Ukrainians will never forget your support and help. And it’s so cool that we were able to meet and talk as friends.”

Last year, Enleo quickly became popular after translating the super hit “Another love” into Ukrainian, which attracted the attention of Tom Odell. The famous British singer left a comment on Nikita’s social media and granted her the rights to perform the song.
