The British tabloid “The Guardian” included the Ukrainian band in the list of the most promising artists of 2023
The Ukrainian punk band Death Pill has been included in the list of the most promising young musicians of 2023, along with artists from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Nigeria, and Palestine.
The Guardian, one of the most famous British publications, has compiled a list of the 12 most promising new musicians of 2023. It includes performers from all over the world, including the Ukrainian hardcore band Death Pill.
“Mariana Navrotska, Anastasia Khomenko, and Natalia Seriakova formed Death Pill to protest against the restriction of women’s rights in the environment in which they grew up. The music they create burns through those standards, a tirade of metalcore, thrash, and hardcore punctuated by barbed wire, Navrotska’s piercing voice, and apparently ruthless lyrics (the lead single, “I’ll Scratch Your *ball,” in which Anastasia addresses her ex directly). Their debut took on an added level of defiance after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which scattered the trio across three different countries and forced them to play remotely,” the publication said.
The media outlet also emphasized that Death Pill’s debut album was released on February 24 via New Heavy Sounds in London.
