Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova led the Ukrainian Pride column in London

On July 1, Olya Polyakova led the Ukrainian column of Pride in London, an annual LGBTQ+ festival in London. The event took place in the city center on the pedestrian street Leicester Square.
The Ukrainian singer walked in front of the column in a sparkling costume created for her by the Mü production brand. Olya Polyakova’s costume resembled the image of a superheroine who seemed to have stepped off the pages of a comic book. The costume was made in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, and the singer wore a large trident on her chest.
The goal was to remind the international community once again of the war in Ukraine. One of the world’s most influential Pride events was supported by the Ukrainian queer patriotic movement UKRAINEPRIDE and the British-Ukrainian volunteer organization Support Ukraine London.

Pride in London is a particularly important political platform given the strong partnership between Ukraine and the UK, as well as Ukraine’s significant achievements in the field of human rights.
For the second year in a row, the Ukrainian convoy has joined the London Pride to defend the world of freedom and love.
